California State Parks will host an open house to present the preferred concept at a series of work stations. Arrive by 8:00 p.m. to hear a brief presentation on the General Plan process and the preferred concept. The preferred concept was developed based on detailed resource and constraints information, and on stakeholder comments received on the three concept alternatives presented in June/July 2013.

The planning team will be at the SVRA to present materials from the workshop. If you are not able to make it to the evening workshop, this is another chance to review the materials and talk to members of the planning team. Tell the front gate that you are attending the General Plan booth and your entry is free.

As with prior workshops, all information presented at the workshop will be made available on the project website. An interactive web activity will also be available on the project website to allow public feedback on the draft preferred concept.
Concept Alternatives Public Workshop (June 10, 2013 and June 11, 2013 – July 15, 2013)
The second public workshop was held at Tracy High School on June 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Over 200 people attended to review the three concepts and talk to staff and the planning team. An online public workshop was conducted June 11, 2013 – July 15, 2013. From June 10 to July 15, 2013, the planning team received over 450 responses from the workshop activities and more than 500 letters, emails, and comments through the website.
In the online workshop, participants could walk through the review materials and give feedback on each stage of the presentation. We are currently reviewing feedback now.

Public Workshop/EIR Scoping Meeting (May 21, 2012)
The first public workshop in support of the Carnegie SVRA General Plan and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was held at the Livermore Doubletree Hotel on May 21, 2012 from 6:30 to 8 pm. It drew approximately 120 attendees.
During the public workshop the Carnegie General Plan team provided a presentation on the process required to develop a General Plan and EIR for a State Park unit. Please click here for a copy of the presentation. Additional materials presented at the meeting included poster boards on the topics of natural and cultural resources, park operations, visitor experience, and the planning process. Those poster boards can be accessed here.
The Carnegie General Plan team provided information and answered questions from meeting attendees in an open-house style meeting. Attendees were encouraged to provide their input, suggestions and concerns regarding the contents of the Carnegie General Plan and the environmental effects of implementation of the General Plan.
