The Carnegie SVRA General Plan team wants your input on concept alternatives which could guide the future uses and management of Carnegie SVRA. Attendees may arrive anytime during the workshop hours to view displays and talk to the planning team members about the concept alternatives. Comment cards will be provided to allow attendees to provide written feedback. Concept alternative information and comment cards will also be available after the workshop through this project website.
This is the second of three public meetings in support of the Carnegie General Plan project. At the first public meeting, the planning team asked for initial ideas. We then spent many months talking to representatives of various interest groups and to management and regulatory agencies to get ideas about their specific interests and concerns. This workshop presents three concept alternatives that were developed based on reviews of natural and cultural resources, comments and ideas from the first public meeting, an online survey, stakeholder meetings, discussions with agency representatives, emails and letters, meetings with tribal representatives, and the many other public comments we received.
While the planning team could not accommodate every idea in the concept alternatives, the three concepts attempt to present a wide range of uses and possibilities. The planning team will use the input received at this workshop to develop a preferred concept for the draft General Plan. All of the concepts contain a variety of elements which could be mixed and matched with elements in other concepts to produce what could be the preferred concept in the draft General Plan.
